Patients First Medical Centers were founded in 1987 on the idea that family and urgent care medical services could be provided within the same atmosphere. The founding partner group consists of family practice physicians, a business manager with an expertise in marketing, and a certified public accountant. Also employed at each of the centers are Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, who assist the providers in various ways.
First, each Patients First Medical Center has a strong family practice base. All physicians have their specialty in family medicine, with the exception of one (Internal Medicine).
Secondly, Patients First has a strong urgent care patient flow. The centers have extended hours of services in the evenings and on weekends to allow for unplanned illnesses and injuries.
Thirdly, Patients First provides a variety of medical services for area companies. The occupational medical plan is greatly marketed and offered during regular business hours, as well as, evenings and weekends.
