Board

BigBendHealth.com was originally organized by five stakeholders and, over our short history, has grown to the current members. We have established a board of directors and appointed Dr. L. Dan Kaelin as chairman and our 2 hospital CEO’s are serving as Co-Vice Chairs. This gives us a significant commitment from these institutions for all our initiatives. Allen Byington of ElectroNet is currently serving as Executive Director and Zach Finn of HIE Networks is the Project Director.

The board member representatives are the decision makers for their organizations and can commit to the initiatives discussed. Many Board members also have board level affiliations on many other important organizations, these include the United Way of the Big Bend, FSU College of Medicine, FSU College of Medicine Dean's Advisory Council, Primary Health Advisory Board of Leon County, Whole Child Leon Program, Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, VHA SouthEast, Health Care Casualty Insurance Ltd., Florida Society of Ambulatory Surgery, Florida Hospital Association, Tallahassee Economic Development Council, American Heart Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and the State of Florida Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council.
